POINTE SHOE FITTER

Dance Threadz is seeking a Pointe Shoe Fitter to join our team in Huntington Beach. The ideal candidate has pointe work experience and a strong understanding of classical ballet technique, foot anatomy and proper pointe shoe fit. This role is essential in ensuring dancers of all levels are fit safely, comfortably and accurately.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Conduct professional and precise pointe shoe fittings for dancers of varying ages and levels

• Assess each dancer’s foot shape, strength and alignment

• Identify and recommend appropriate pointe shoe styles, sizes, widths, shanks and accessories

• Educate dancers and parents on proper fit, break-in, care and safety

• Stay informed on current pointe shoe brands, models and fitting techniques

Qualifications:

• Pointe work experience required

• Strong understanding of pointe shoe construction, fit and function

• Ability to work with dancers, parents and teachers in a professional manner

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Retail experience preferred but not required

• Successfully complete an extensive training program

Set schedule during store hours: Monday - Saturday, 12:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Must be available for at least one 6-hour shift during the week and on Saturdays

SALES ASSOCIATE

 

Dance Threadz is looking for an outgoing, reliable and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at our new store in Los Alamitos. The Sales Associate will be responsible for providing professional fittings and exceptional customer service in accordance with Dance Threadz standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of dancewear styles and brands, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for every guest. Must be comfortable working with children and adults. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to accurately fit dancers of all ages in a variety of dance shoes (no pointe shoes)

• Provide knowledgeable recommendations about our dancewear and answer product-related questions

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently 

• Assist with merchandise restocking, pricing and floor displays

• Support inventory management, including receiving and pricing new products

 

Qualifications:

• Required - Prior work experience | Dance background | High school diploma

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Friendly and professional demeanor

• Ability to work independently and assist multiple customers at once

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Set schedule during store hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 12:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Must be available for at least two 6-hour shifts during the week and Saturdays

Compensation: $18.00 - $23.00 / hour
